A Workshop on Mental Health

For this week’s group meeting, I gave a workshop on mental health and tools for staying organized. Reasons:

  1. I completely forgot that I had agreed to give this week’s group meeting. I had two days to put together a talk (insufficient to get a science talk ready) or reschedule it.

  2. Last Friday’s tragedy in Bahen has been weighing heavily on people’s minds. I’m not sure everyone, especially the new students and postdocs, are aware of the services at the University of Toronto. We could all use a refresher for ourselves and for us to help others.

At the end of the presentation, I guided the group through a five-minute meditation to release body tension.

Having done the research and seeing the positive reception from my group members, I thought I should share this more widely. So here are the slides!

(If you spot a mistake, let me know! Also, I tried to credit everyone but do tell me if I missed something.)
